QR Code FAQ's

Here are some of the most common questions we have heard...

  1. What is a QR code and what's it for?
A QR code (short for Quick Response code) is a type of matrix barcode first designed for the automotive industr in Japan. More recently, the system has become popular outside of the industry due to its fast readability and comparatively large storage capacity. The code consists of black modules arranged in a square pattern on a white background and can be made up of any kind of data.
  2. Do I need one for my business?
Popular in Japan and England, you may have seen it in ads (such as Macys) and a quick way to provide information and links to the mobile community.
  3. But my competition doesn't have one... so why do I?
QR codes will soon become as essential to your business as your website because it reaches the exponentially growing mobile community.  Being the "first on the block" will give your business a cutting edge advantage!
  4. I already have a website so why do I need a mobile version?
Standard websites aren't formatted to mobile devices.  Reading them from a smartphone is frustrating and inefficient. Strategically it is better to direct the visitor to a website designed for the devices they are snapping the QR code with!
  5. But I don't have a smartphone...
That doesn't matter at all. The BIG question is, does your target market? Stats are showing that there will be more mobile devices than ever in 2012. Question is: Will YOU be ready?
  6. Is it expensive to have a mobile website?
Good news!! We provide mobile websites startng at $125! Hosting is less than $7/mo... It doesn't take very many new customers to make this strategy one of your best returns on your marketing investment.
  7. How can I learn more?

RESTAURANTS need a map, hours, menu items, and maybe a special offer or news about special events.

STORES need a map, hours, list of products or services, and maybe a couple of featured items. Buy buttons may also make sense.

ARTISANS might include a bio & specialties, show schedule, contact info, and can even include a feed from your Etsy store or blog...

Adding an opt-in options for newsletters will make it easy for you to stay in touch... As they say: "Out of sight, out of mind"... Mobile marketing will keep you in the palm of their hand...
